Forskningsbeskrivning

  • Dr. Grudzinska Pechhacker has been staff ophthalmologist since 2016. Her
career focuses on inherited eye disorders with emphasis on inherited retinal
conditions. She is passionately dedicated to improve diagnostics and
management strategies for patients with genetic eye disorders. She was
further trained in clinical visual electrophysiology (Moorfields Eye
Hospital, UK) and recently underwent one year structured fellowship in Ocular
Genetics and Electrophysiology under supervision of Prof. Elise Heon and Dr.
Ajoy Vincent at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) and University of
Toronto, Canada. Dr. Grudzinska Pechhacker's goal is to establish a program
providing a comprehensive assessment, genetic testing and counseling of
patients affected with inherited eye disorders with focus on conditions when
clinical genetic testing did not identify the disease-causing variant(s).
