I am a Swedish-American who has grown up on both sides of the Atlantic. I completed my B.Sc. in Health Sciences at the University of California Santa Cruz in 2010. Post-graduation I worked as a purification technician at a biopharmaceutical called BioMarin in Novato, California. This company focuses on producing life-enhancing medications for patients with orphan (rare) diseases. I later completed the Master of Medicine in Global Health at the Karolinska Institute in 2013. This was followed by completing medical school in 2018 at the Karolinska Institute.
During medical school, I enrolled in the joint degree Ph.D. program at the Karolinska Institute and the Royal Institute of Technology. In this translational environment, I work with creating and evaluating segmentation techniques for the corpus callosum, a biomarker for neurodegeneration in multiple sclerosis.
