I am a post-doc in the Swedish Twin project Of Disability pension and Sickness absence (STODS). My current research focuses on chronic pain, its comorbidity with mental disorders and the risk of sick leave and disability pension. I am also working on studies examining the consequences of being on sick leave in terms of adverse health and labor market outcomes. Using twin data, we can both control for and further examine the familial impact on traits and associations, using different analytical strategies. I defended my thesis in 2017, and it focused on genetic and environmental aspects of burnout and sick leave due to stress-related and other mental disorders.
