Project Manager SGC Karolinska Tissue Platforms
I'm an immunologist by training having received my PhD in experimental medicine in the lab of Prof. Göran Hansson at Karolinska Institutet in 2005. My PhD focused on characterising the role of innate immune receptors in cardiovascular disease. Following a postdoc investigating the role of innate immunity in infectious diseases in Prof. Robert Modlin's lab at UCLA from 2006-2009, I am now an experienced project manager/research coordinator with expertise in managing and supporting research projects in life science.
I work as project manager supporting the lab's efforts in the IMI-JU funded tissue assay program and the Karolinska patient-derived cell assay team within the SGC Tissue Platforms. I manage the financial aspects of the IMI-JU funded EUbOPEN project and I am responsible for reporting and managing contacts with the project’s other pharma and academic partners. In addition I manage external research grants and grant applications from private and governmental funding agencies, national as well as international.
