I am an associate professor of Paediatric Care Science and a member of Anna Nordenströms “ Paediatric endocrinology research group” Department of Women’s and Children’s Health at KI.
I perform research in patients living with congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH). My focus is to improve quality of life, adherence and knowledge in children, adolescents and adults with CAH.
I am also a paediatric nurse specialist and have worked for approximately 20 years with paediatric endocrinology at Astrid Lindgren Children's Hospital, Karolinska University Hospital in Solna and Huddinge (KS).
The overall focus of my research is to study which impact different factors have on quality of life and the impact of adherence, knowledge and self-management in patients with congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH).
Thereafter to clarify associations between adherence, self-care and quality of life overtime with a special focus on gender differences.
- Relationship between treatment therapy, adherence and quality of life in patients with CAH
- Relationship between the capacity to produce epinephrine and stress vulnerability in patient with different severity of CAH
- Follow up study of play-behavior during childhood in women with CAH
