About me

  • I completed my PhD in epidemiology at the Department of Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics in November 2023. My research focus centers around frailty in older adults, specifically exploring its underlying causes and consequences. I am also passionate about enhancing the care and treatment of frail patients within clinical settings.

Since 2020, I have been affiliated to the National Graduate School on Ageing and Health (SWEAH, https://www.sweah.lu.se/en/).

Research

  • The overall goal of my doctoral project was to pave the way towards a better management of frailty in older adults. Through analyzing extensive registry-based and clinical datasets, my PhD research aimed to gain understanding into the quantitative genetics, epigenetics, and metabolic biomarkers of frailty. Additionally, I have been developing electronic frailty scores that could facilitate risk stratification and inform clinical decisions within hospital settings.
