About me
- I am an associate professor in epidemiology and employed as a senior
lecturer at the Department of Global Public Health, in the research group
Epidemiology and Public Health Intervention Research Epidemiology (EPHIR) [1]
for which I am research group leader.
My main area of research is the epidemiology of public health problems. Over
the years, I have implemented and lead projects within a variety of areas
(and in the intersection between them), such as cardiovascular-, mental
health-, social insurance-, alcohol-, pharmaco- and injury epidemiological
studies. The vast majority of my research is based on quantitative data from
registers and primary data from self-reported questionnaires or interviews.
The studies employ a broad range of epidemiological study designs, such as
cohort, case-control, cross-sectional and case-crossover study designs, and
are analysed using modern statistical methods. My research projects are based
on interdisciplinary and interprofessional collaborations, both within KI
and internationally.
