My name is Jeffrey Casely-Hayford and I am a doctoral student at the Institute of Environmental Medicine (IMM). I obtained my BSc in Psychology at the University of Bath in 2014. During my undergraduate studies I undertook a research assistantship at the Department of Education, University of Oxford. After my BSc, I obtained my MSc in Applied Paediatric Neuropsychology at the Institute of Child Health, University College London. Prior to starting my PhD, I worked in caregiving roles in social and forensic care. I have also worked as a social pedagogue and a learning support teacher for students with learning disabilities.
I will be working on the “Should I stay, or should I go” research project along with Dr. Lydia Kwak, Dr. Christina Björklund, Prof. Per Lindqvist and Prof. Gunnar Bergström. The research project aims to increase our knowledge on how teacher turnover within schools can be reduced and explores which strategies are needed to keep teachers at their school.
