Forskningsbeskrivning

The focus of my research is sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) including primary and secondary prevention of sexually transmitted infections (STI), and gender-based violence. I have foremost studied SRHR among youth in Sweden. I am interested in sexual risk-taking,  implementation and evaluation of health interventions.

My PhD thesis (2019) “Chlamydia among youth in Stockholm; testing habits and evaluation of a mobile phone intervention to promote safe sexual practices” focused on understanding how testing services for Chlamydia infection are utilised by youth and how this might subsequent sexual risk-taking. Furthermore, a mobile phone intervention to promote condom use among youth aged 18-23 was developed, implemented, and evaluated in a randomised controlled trial.
