About me

  • I am currently a PhD student in the predictive medicine group headed by Dr. Mattias Rantalainen at the Department of Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Karolinska Institutet. My thesis mainly focuses on the development and validation of deep learning-based models for cancer histopathology image analysis, specifically in breast cancer.

Research

  • Mainly, I am interested in the field of computational pathology, especially in the application of deep learning/AI-based models for various predictive modelling tasks like routine prognostic marker prediction, development/discovery of novel prognostic markers, multi-modal modelling for prognosis/treatment prediction etc.

Teaching

  • - Took a lecture on "Introduction to Supervised Learning – Linear Prediction Models and Regularization" in the course "Application for Multivariate Prediction Models, Machine Learning and AI with Applications in Precision Medicine" in the autumn semester of 2023.
    - Lab assistant for the lectures: "Introduction to Deep Learning and Image Analysis" and "More Deep Learning" in the course in the course "Application for Multivariate Prediction Models, Machine Learning and AI with Applications in Precision Medicine" in the autumn semester of 2023
